The concept of the Families First Service, Luxembourg, was originally developed in the United States as the Families First Project. It is a travelling intervention programme for families with children under 18 in crisis.
The Families First Service Luxembourg (FFL) intervenes for a period of 6 to 8 weeks in families with children under 18 facing a family crisis. The aim of Families First Luxembourg is to enable these families to regain a sense of normality and to avoid the removal of a child to an institution or a foster family.
